LOVE MUCH AND FORGIVE ALL!!

As the ball drops to ring in the New Year there will be an empty chair around our extended family’s hearth. On December 30th a sweet lady’s soul winged its way to heaven to forever be with the Lord.

She was called Goldie, but I knew her as Ruth. My children called her Grammy. She was my “Second Mother.” (I always hated the word “step” in bonus families.) She had seven children, and when she married my Dad, they became brothers and sisters to me.

This sweet lady taught me so much about life – and LOVE. And she taught me the importance of forgiveness.


When parents decide to divorce there is excess baggage of anger and bitterness that gets dumped on the children. And if a parent isn’t kind or forgiving, it’s hard for the children to forgive the parents’ faults and mistakes. And my Mom had made a bunch of biggies. And she had a way of repeating them. By the time my husband and I were about to marry Mom was in a “not so nice” stage, and this showed in MY attitude.


One day Ruth told me the most important part of marriage was forgiveness. I said, “He hasn’t done anything wrong yet.” Ruth said, “Not him – your mother. You can’t love and hate at the same time.” I answered back, “But, she won’t even know if I forgive her. She doesn’t think she’s doing anything wrong.” Ruth, the wise sage, said, “Your heart will know. And God will know. And He will bless you if you forgive.”


I prayed hard about this, and told God I wanted to forgive my mother. And He gave me the grace to do it. (I had to forgive her many times after this.) And God did bless me and my marriage.


As the ball drops tonight in Time Square, and glasses clink for a toast to the New Year, my mind and heart will be remembering the years past, and the sage advice of a sweet lady: LOVE MUCH AND FORGIVE ALL!! Good words from the past to the future.

Christmas: It’s All About Jesus, From Beginning to End

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:1, 5.

“And in the six month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the Angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that are highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying. And cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou has found favor with God. And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end….therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” Luke 2: 30-32, 35.

“Other Men Have our Lands and Vineyards?”

“And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews. For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live. Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth. There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards. Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.”

Nehemiah 5:1-5

We the people of the United States have voted, or had appointed, a Congress, a President, and a Supreme Court. By a majority decision we have selected leaders, of this once great nation, that have led us into financial and spiritual bankruptcy. We the people are as responsible for this mess as are the dimwits that we have selected for leaders. We have selected those that have:

Brought us a debt that cannot be sustained;

cultivated a non-work ethic;

taken by force from those that have and given it to those that have not;

sent our jobs to other countries;

have caused unprecedented homelessness, hunger and discontent;

removed all references to God from our schools, our government buildings, our military and from our Christian holidays;

supported the killing of millions of babies;

supports homosexuality;

promotes and supports bigger government;

stopped all research and development of our natural resources; and their only ambition is to be reelected.

We, the people of the United States have voted ourselves out of a democratic republic and into a communistic and/or socialistic government. No nation in the history of the world has ever been able to turn their back from God and commit all of these abominations to God and survive. I am sure His wrath will be without mercy upon this nation.

In 2009 POTUS said in one of his famous speeches that “we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.” Without the morals and ethics of the Christian Bible, the Constitution is meaningless and democracy cannot survive.

Here are some facts to consider:

In 2011 there were 8.7 million government paychecks, 19% of which were over $100,000 per year, with the average check being $61,998.

In 2011, 44.2 million people were on food stamps.

In 2011, there were 55 million people getting Social Security checks.

In 2010 925 million people around the world starved to death, while our EPA and USDA ordered the burning of corn as gasoline in American cars.

Daniel Webster said, “Our ancestors established their system of government on morality and religious sentiment. Moral habits, they believed, cannot safely be on any other foundation than religious principle, nor any government be secure which is not supported by moral habits.”

If you will read any history books about world history, you will find that no nation has survived that has abandoned the morals of our Lord Jesus Christ. Even Israel went out of existence for 2,000 years because it abandoned God’s word.

Just read your Bible, and see where “we the people” are. And,

What other men will have our lands and vineyards?

"Interrupted Journey"

His shock of red hair and green eyes were the first thing you would notice—and the grin that lit up the room. He was a pleasant lad, and always on the go. His two-wheeled scooter was the “terror” of his neighborhood. But, Sammy Johnson, age eight, was the love of his neighbors and his family. He had a quick wit and was always a helping hand.

Mrs. Tuttle, the widow across his street, looked forward to his bringing in her mail every afternoon. Her steps were slow and unsteady, and this short trip had become a long journey. Sammy noticed that her mail had begun to pile up, so he knocked on her door one day to be sure she was o.k. That’s when he started bringing in her mail. There were other neighbors that he helped, and never asked a penny for payment. His parents were quite proud of him.


One afternoon, Sammy noticed that the house next door, the one that had been empty, was now getting a new family. He watched curiously as the movers brought in furniture—tables, and chairs, sofa and lamps, beds and bureaus. He looked for, but didn’t see, any signs of toys. A strange feeling came over him. He ran in and told his mother they were getting new neighbors. She said, “Leave them alone and let them get settled.” So he watched, and then the moving van left.


Sammy ran over to the house next door and knocked on the door. A lady about age 35 answered the door. She was about the same height of Sammy’s mom, but she had a distant look in her eyes. Sammy was used to the quick glitter of light in his mother’s eyes, and didn’t quite know what to make of this. “Hi, I’m Sammy Johnson. I live next door.” The lady came back, “I’m Mrs. Jesup, Sarah Jessup. We’ve just moved in.”


Sammy said, “Yes, I know. I watched. My mom said I shouldn’t bother you ‘cause you just moved in.” “That’s right. We’re kind of busy.” Mrs. Jessup returned, starting to close the door. Then Sammy stepped forward and asked, “Can Janie come out to play?”


Mrs. Jessup’s face turned pale, and her lip quivered. “There’s no ‘Janie' living here.” Sammy looked her over carefully and said softly, “There’s supposed to be a 'Janie' living here.” And he went home with a confused look on his faced.


Sammy asked his mother if she had ever gotten an impression that something was wrong, but couldn’t describe his feelings to her. His mother said, “Sometimes God gives us messages that we don’t understand. If He does, then we’re to pray about it and ask God to clarify things for us.” Sammy decided that God had given him a message about “Janie Jessup” and he would pray about it. From the first day onward Sammy was fascinated by the Jessup home, and seemed to spend a lot of time on his scooter going round in circles watching the house and the Jessups. Strangely, in little over a month, they moved away. He had never had another conversation with Mrs. Jessup, just watched her. When she saw Sammy, she would scoot back into her house and close the door.


Sammy prayed about “Janie Jessup” for a while, then, he said he must have been wrong, and got back into his routine of scooting around his neighborhood, doing helping errands for the neighbors.

Sammy Johnson played Little League baseball and was very good at it. He eventually played on the Junior and Senior Varsity ball team in high school. He was even offered a scholarship for college when he was ready to graduate from high school. However, one Saturday afternoon when he was biking from high school to the baseball field, his bike had a flat tire and Sammy crashed into a ditch. Lying there in intense pain, Sammy saw that his leg was broken. Soon sirens were heard, and an ambulance took Sammy to the hospital. His parents met him there and explained that he had a terrible break in his leg. He didn’t seem too worried about it. He said, “I’ll have a cast that I can get the team to autograph. That’ll be cool!” “No, Son,” his father replied. “It’s not that simple. The doctors say you won’t have the strength in your leg to play ball anymore.” This was a hard thing for a teenage boy to accept. Even though Sammy had been to church all his life, and knew God and Jesus, and was saved for eternity, it was the here and now he had to be concerned about. “What about my scholarship?” he asked. His father just shook his head.

And this break changed a lot for Sammy and his family. Sammy spent a couple of weeks in the hospital, and was discharged just in time to “walk the line” at his graduation leaning on two crutches. Imagine his surprise when the School Superintendant, reading out his “bio” read his name, and the scholarships he had won, including the one to his dream college where he was supposed to go play ball. After the ceremony, Sammy, now “Sam” to his friends, asked his father about the scholarships. Mr. Johnson said, “We got a letter from the university saying you could transfer the scholarship to the “Fine Arts” department and go for your degree in English, writing. You will have to work on the college paper, and some other duties, but you get to go, if you want.”


“If I ‘want?’” Sam exclaimed. “I’d jump for joy if I could get off the ground. He knew his parent didn’t have the money to send him to school, and his choice college was very expensive. Sam spent the summer recuperating, and planning, and made a visit to the college. He found he would have to “work” for his room and board, but his college tuition and books were paid for. Two days after Labor Day, Sam’s parents moved his trunk and bags into a dorm room at Amherst College in the middle of Massachusetts. He spent the next day registering for classes and obtaining his books. His roommate was a sophomore, majoring in psychology.


Sam’s schedule included Algebra 1, English Comp 101, Earth Science and U.S. History. It was a “full load.” His mornings were algebra and English three days a week, with his other classes Tuesdays and Thursdays. He felt like he would be busy but not overloaded. Sam had a good head for math, but English, specifically writing, was his ‘dessert.’ This broken leg was going to allow him time to hone his craft, and his hobby would become a way of life.

Each class began with the professor taking roll, and putting a face with the names on his list. Algebra was predictable, and the hour went by quickly. English Comp had a lady professor, Ms. Brown, a tall, gray-haired woman with her hair in a bun. Though she appeared ‘timeless,’ she had a light lilt to her voice, and she gave the impression that she could put the red ink to a paper quickly, but carefully. She started down her list: Adams, Joseph – here- Bannister, Gene – here. Cordell, Alice – here - …Jessup, Janie - - - Jessup, Janie - - - Sam’s head snapped up abruptly, and he looked around the room for ‘Jessup, Janie.’ Again, Ms Brown called out, “Jessup, Janie - .” No answer. She marked “A” beside the name and continued her roll. After the class was over, Sam went to Ms. Brown and asked about Janie Jessup. “She’s on the roll, but absent. Maybe she’ll be here next time.” “What will happen if she is absent again?” asked Sam. Some gut feeling told him she wouldn’t be there. “Well, after missing three classes, I sent a note to the office that she didn’t show up. They take it from there. After three days, I close MY books on her.” Janie Jessup never showed up.

Sam had an excellent time at college. He devoted his time to his books, his writing, and the college newspaper. Started out on the sports, and graduating to general journalism, Sam soon had the AP Style writing down pat. He led with intriguing openings that captured the readers’ interest, and gave a good account to whatever topic he was covering. The year, and the three that followed, flew by. Sam’s broken leg had left him with a discernable limp, but that didn’t slow down his writing, or quick wit he had held as a child of eight.

When Sam graduated with a degree in English, he was accepted in a college in Denver for his Master of Fine Arts. This position came with a television video-journalism job. His career in writing was assured. However, Sam wanted to go home. After receiving his Doctorate of Education in English, he returned to his local college to teach. His life was full of work, and his family, and kids at college, many he would mentor. While he never married, he was the favorite uncle to his sister’s three children, two boys and a girl. He taught at Sunday School, and helped the children put on plays at different times of the year.


Sam’s red shock of hair turned gray. His limp got more pronounced, and his home on the corner by his old high school became more vacant as the niece and nephew finished school and left for college. An old chocolate lab dog, Bones, was his constant companion. One day Bones was sited lying on the front step with his muzzle resting on his front paws. The mailman came by and called out to him. “Come on, Bones, up and at ‘em.” But the dog just laid there. The mailman went to the door and knocked. No answer. “Hey, Bones, where’s Sam?” Bones got up and stretched, then paced back and forth. Police were called and they found Sam on the floor in his living room. He had a grip of papers to correct, and his reading glasses were on the floor beside him. Sam was gone.

A soul winged its way to heaven, the soul of a happy, caring, witty, but lonely Sam. He had lived his life on earth to the best he could. He hated no man. He loved, and was good to children. He never married. But, somewhere – somewhere there had been someone, or a spirit of someone that had caught his heart. He couldn’t put a face to her, but he thought, “I would know her anywhere.”


And then, there she was – Janie Jessup. “Janie…” Sam called out. “Sam!” “Janie, where have you been?” “I’ve been here – waiting – waiting for you.” “Janie, what happened?” “Well, I was – I was – coming, and then I wasn’t. Then I was here.” Sam looked around and there were hundreds, no, thousands or more, like Janie. “What happened, Janie? I don’t understand.” “Well, some here are here because when their journey began, something happened, an illness, or something, and I guess God decided their struggle would be too great down there on earth, so He brought them here early. Others - - others, like me…” her voice faltered, “Others who had mothers, who weren't close to God, who didn't trust God, who didn’t want them, who thought they would be inconvenient, who thought they were coming at the wrong time, well they…” Sam stopped her sad tale with a spiritual kiss and hug. “I’ve been looking for you all my life.” “Yes,” Janie answered. “I was watching you. I felt we connected when my parents moved next door to you. I almost got word to you in college…” “I knew it!” exclaimed Sam. “Yes,” Janie continued. “I tried to get word to you different times. The best I could do was breathe near you and whisper in your ear.” “Or whisper in my soul.” Sam concluded. “Your journey was interrupted, but now we are here—together.”

When two souls meet in Heaven, each gives something to the other, and neither remains the same.

Observations of a Near-Octogenarian

The following appear to be “rules for older drivers.”

1. When starting your car, be sure to have your foot all the way to the floor on the gas pedal—so you can hear the motor without your hearing aid.


2. Be sure to turn on your directional light immediately—it doesn’t matter which direction. Just let it blink.


3. When backing out of your parking space DO NOT LOOK BACK. This is your right because you are old. (It will help to have lots of insurance.)


4. After you get to the traffic light DO NOT START moving as soon as the green light comes on. Wait about 10-15 seconds. That way, no one else can get through the light.


5. Never drive faster than 35 MPH anywhere. 55, 60, 70 MPH is just too fast. And remember to keep that directional light on. Again, it doesn’t matter which way.


6. When driving at night always slow down to 20 MPH when meeting on-coming traffic. And be sure your directional light is on.


7. When driving at night, always keep your high beams on. You can see better.


8. Always lean forward over the steering wheel. You can see better that way.


9. On multi-lane highways travel in the left lane at 35 MPH with your directional light on—oblivious of all other traffic.


10. When turning off the highway DO NOT USE directional lights.

Honoring and Remembering 9-11-01

 If I Knew

If I knew it would be the last time

That I'd see you fall asleep,

I would tuck you in more tightly

And pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time

That I see you walk out the door,

I would give you a hug and kiss

And call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time

I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,

I would video tape each action and word,

So I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,

I could spare an extra minute

To stop and say "I love you,"

Instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time

I would be there to share your day,

Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,

So I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow

To make up for an oversight,

And we always get a second chance

To make everything just right.

There will always be another day

To say "I love you,"

And certainly there's another chance

All the POTUS’ Men

So now I’m a “S O B…” sorry my Baptist upbringing doesn’t allow me to put that in print. But the labor man of POTUS, Hoffa, called Tea Party folks SOB’s and said they should be taken out. Does that imply a death threat, Mr. POTUS? If I said that to YOU I would be arrested.



And another man of POTUS, a black Representative, Andre Carson, said all Tea Party folks want to hang black folks in trees. Well, I have Tea Party sympathies, though I haven’t gone to any meetings yet, but I have never hanged a black person in a tree, nor ever thought about it.



And this “Jobs Speech” that is so important that first the POTUS was going to come on against the Republicans presidential debate, and now will preempt the first NFL game. And his press secretary poo-poo’d this coincidence by saying there are a lot of debates and a lot of channels. Yeh, right, and I’ve got some bridges for sale.



What does our POTUS do on a regular basis? His VIPOTUS charges Tea Party folks as barbarians, when the cameras are rolling, and terrorists when there are no cameras. POTUS charges people who don’t agree with him as putting politics ahead of the country, of obstructionism, ignorance, stupidity. POTUS treats Senators and Representatives alike like children. He was a Senator once, for a short time, before he started running for president. (That is what he is good at, running, or campaigning. What he does when he gets elected is still a mystery...except play golf and take vacations.) So he calls the joint congress into session so he can address them to get this jobs thing done…immediately!!!! Except, he should have know that he can’t call Congress into session, and can’t demand a joint session so he can demand them to get on with this jobs thing!!!! That’s not how our system works. Kings can demand. Prime Ministers might be able to demand. But not presidents…at least not yet!!!



So, instead of interrupting a Republican presidential debate he’s going to interrupt the NFL’s opening game. After a summer of NFL strikes, the game is on, when POTUS relinquishes the podium and teleprompter.



So, Wednesday, 9-7-11 there will be a debate among Republican presidential candidates. And Thursday night there will be a debate between POTUS and his TOTUS. Then, the NFL will kick off a tremendous season…at least an interesting season, where real people get to kick back and relax and watch their team(s) of choice “take out” their opponents. Some day (soon, I hope) Psalms 109:8 will take place (Look it up. It's interesting.) and the economy will improve, and we can all rejoice in being exceptional Americans again…never again having our President bowing to our enemy, or calling our citizens barbarians or terrorists. Praise God!!!

Is It Stupidity or a Plan of (In)Action?

When my kids were in school and brought home a good paper, I would post it on the refrigerator. I wanted to show them how proud of them I was. Our boys could be counted on for some very good papers. Our daughter, younger than her brothers,  started bringing home papers.

One day, however, she brought home a paper with a “0” on it. She had 10 questions, #1 – 10 with answers A – J. The directions were to draw a line from the questions to the right answers. She had done it completely wrong…totally. At first I was stunned that she couldn’t answer those simple questions, until I saw all the erasure marks. It turned out that she deliberately did the paper wrong…completely wrong. What this showed was that she was not stupid, but sly like a fox. I never did find out why she did her paper that way, but I posted it anyway. I figured she had to be pretty smart to do it completely wrong. (She never did it again, though.)


This brings me to our POTUS. Many writers are stating that they didn’t realize how “unskilled” he was, that he appeared to be “over his head” with this job being president, that in reality, he must be pretty stupid. He talks a good talk, but never produces any results. He appears to always be waiting for someone else to come forward with a plan of action, which he then criticizes. But it is becoming clearer and clearer. This inactivity, this indecision, this dithering, this political thinking of “spreading the wealth,” this blaming Bush, this blaming the Tea Party “terrorists,” shows that he is really stupid, or sly like a fox.


More and more writers are now saying that POTUS and FLOTUS are deliberately trying to bring down the country. While this may seem extreme, answer this: How can you rave against your enemy (the citizens) while you praise your friends (foreign Arab leaders)? How can your staff call any descent treasonous, terrorists, but not call those shooting at us terrorists? How can you espouse that we all must share the pain and sacrifice, but go on yet another vacation?


Now much has been said this week about his going to Martha’s Vineyard while America slides into yet another recession, but MSM counters that POTUS has only taken 69 days of vacation, while Bush had taken 180 days (at his ranch—the Western Whitehouse). Now if Mr. O had converted a few rooms of his Chicago home into a working office, there would be less squawk about his going home for a few days. But MV is NOT Chicago, nor a desert ranch in mid-Texas.


No, POTUS appears to have a concerted attack against America. How else would you explain the Cap ‘n’ Trade agreement that would put the average electric bill out of sight and prevent further coal plants for electricity?

How else could you explain his history with ACORN, and then have ACORN called “reprehensible” by a judge and fine them for voter fraud?

How else do you explain his affiliation with the Communist Party of USA, with them contributing to all his elections, including 2012?


While I have been pondering these questions, I had one hope; our military would be there to protect us, even if necessary, from an enemy within. I did wonder how Mr. O could bring down the military, and this week I found out—he is changing their retirement. When you have an all volunteer military, the last thing they need to worry about is their money, and their financial future. Now, O and company are messing with their retirement. Some soldiers as close to retirement as 19 years in the military, may be out of the retirement pay they expect. This will certainly curtail reenlistments.

If Mr. O were just stupid, or incompetent, he would by chance, get some things right. But he is completely wrong, wrong on purpose, it seems, wrong for the economy, wrong for balancing the budget, wrong for not having an independent energy policy, wrong for not trying to make logical cuts in the federal deficits, and wrong for America, at least the America I love and support. But, then, this is probably his plan all along.

Promises of 2008--Hope and Change

Well, the president should be happy now. He has finally found a way to bring America to her knees without firing an insurrection shot. When he had the interview with Scott Pelley of CBS, he stated he couldn’t guarantee Social Security checks would go out August 3rd if there was no debt limit increase deal. Now, he states 70 million recipients are in jeopardy of not getting their money in August. What he has done is kill every credit rating of people dependant upon their SS checks. No matter what happens with this debt crisis, government checks will no longer be able to be used as a secure income. At any whim, the president can hold them up.



In addition to retirees and disabled not getting their money, America’s credit score rating, currently AAA, will be reduced. When that happens, EVERYBODY’S credit score will go up; everyone who holds a credit card will have their rates jump beyond historical proportions. Millions of people will be forced into bankruptcy with any variable-rate debts.


Our POTUS has brought this country to the brink of destruction. Unemployment is creeping upward again. It is now much higher than the “fear factor” used when he ran against Bush. The fear factor number was an unemployment rate of 8%. Oh, to be at that number now.


He has brought the country to the brink of default by not bringing forth a written proposal to the House of Representatives, then accusing them of not negotiating in good faith. Negotiate with what? A speech and not a plan? His latest “negotiations” with the speaker of the House brought about an exchange where the Speaker walked away saying, as soon as he (the Speaker) agrees with the president to get a debt limit deal, POTUS “moves the goal posts.” Now, the Speaker refuses to negotiate with the President. And POTUS calls him “uncooperative.”


He has removed the flag from most areas of the White House, and brought in Arab décor. He has removed our Christian God from all aspects to the government and shows open partiality to Muslims faith.


He openly supports the homosexual agenda, and gay marriage, and refuses to support the Defending the Marriage Act, where marriage is between one man and one woman.


He openly supports abortion. He refuses to support the life of a fetus as being a person.


He openly supports the destruction of Israel by calling them obstructionists for defending their borders. He openly supports the Muslim Brotherhood, and sold them weapons, weapons that could be used against Israel.


He is against the Second Amendment, denies he is trying to instill gun controls, but is promoting an “under the radar” program to bring about registration of guns, registration of fire arm sales, recordkeeping of gun stores, and, if the “Fast and Furious” ATF program were totally brought to light, the leadership of this would be very close to 1600 PA Ave. POTUS has openly spoken for, and promoted the UN treaty to ban private citizens having firearms, as a way to control guns in America.


POTUS has spoken openly of wanting $10 per gallon gas. He has by presidential decree ordered automakers to increase their MPG to 56 MPG. Just this week the auto industry has openly rejected this as being way too expensive, and would cost more jobs.


POTUS states he wants America to be independent of foreign oil, but continues to block domestic exploration in areas where shale oil can be obtained, and where oil wells could be explored in American soil.

POTUS states he has a ‘dream’ about illegals, but obstructs states from keeping illegals out, and punishing people who help them get in.


POTUS states he is “for jobs” but, his NLRB is continuing to attack employers who promote the right to work.


POTUS has openly spoken of “increasing revenues” as a way around this debt crisis. This translates to increased taxes.


POTUS has openly spoken out against the military by not guaranteeing they will get paid in August.


POTUS has shut down NASA and the space program so we now have to hitch a ride with the Russians if we want to continue to participate in the space explorations.


Why is the truth so hard for POTUS to grip?


August 2 is just next week. Where IS YOUR money? Where is YOUR income coming from?


How do you like these current changes? Is there any HOPE left for America?

“Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot…pitched his tent toward Sodom.”

As any Bible reader knows, this Bible reference is about Lot, Abram’s (Abraham) nephew choosing to move his family and herds toward Sodom, away from Abraham and Abraham’s influence. Lot and his uncle raised herds of animals, and the two men’s workers began to squabble about there not being enough land for all the animals. Abraham gave Lot the choice of where to go, and Abraham would take a different direction. The story continues where Lot changed from a herdsman on the plain of the Jordan, to a man sitting at the gate of the city of Sodom….we all know what Sodom was and what sodomy is, and what life-style it embraced.

Anyway, eventually, God in his wrath against the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah, destroyed the two cities. Lot, being a just man (prior to the sins of the city, was spared…he and his wife and daughters. His wife didn’t survive the trip, having liked the sinful city too much and looked back, God turned her into a pillar of salt.


This past week, POTUS flew to New York to embrace to alternative-lifestyle crowd, and the new state law allowing same-sex marriage. Senators and Representatives can pass whatever laws they choose, but, if they are contrary to God’s laws, they will eventually pay the price, and so will POTUS, for encouraging this mess and not speaking out against it. And so will America continue to pay.

God’s laws have not been repealed. Sin is sin, and it was back then and is still now. Jesus did not wink at sin. Many liberals say Jesus only showed love, he didn’t judge. But they are wrong. When the men brought the woman caught in adultery to Jesus, and he said those famous words, where are thine accusers? He wasn’t condoning the sin of adultery. He said to the woman he wouldn’t judge her at that time but “go and sin no more.”


America is in a cesspool of sin, whether it’s the “alternative” life style, adultery, lying, stealing, being disrespectful to your parents, cheating, coveting your neighbors stuff, killing the unborn, sin is sin, and America seems to think that it’s just a matter of choice.

Killing babies is considered choice, even though God creates every baby.

Our own (S.C.) state legislators couldn’t come to grips that a fetus is a person. They tried to pass a resolution giving a fetus personhood, but failed. Imagine, a baby isn’t a person!!

It’s choice when we vote for folks who never held a real job before becoming leaders of the free world. It’s choice when we believe the liberal media that Christians are “backward.” It’s choice in the name of “free speech” by the media to destroy conservatives who seek office. This choice shows their true colors.


Yes, it’s our choice, to follow the straight line of God’s word, or have this country perish.



The 4th of July, and the Coming Election


POTUS is cycling through another election for president. He said he wants to be reelected because he didn’t finish his agenda. And just what was his agenda prior to the 2008 election? To take down America? He didn’t come right out and say that, but he said it in “so many words.”

THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".

'Senator' Obama replied:

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides". "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression." "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message…You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."
Lindsborg continues:

Obama continued: "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love.



It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails - - - perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ......." You can’t say he didn’t warn us. I, for one, never knew until today (6/27/11) that our POTUS and FLOTUS were flag burners. I did suspect he was out to destroy the country, but these words of his prior to the last election have not been rescinded or apologized for.


I will fly my flag of July 4th to symbolize the Freedoms we still have, and pray to God that we will have an election in Nov. 2012 for president. I pray God will be merciful to us and put a different person in office, a Christian-values person, who loves God, loves America, and believes children have value and personhood, even inside the mother’s womb.


As our Independence Day comes, I implore you all to do a few things to celebrate.

Hug a soldier.
Mourn the soldiers who gave the supreme sacrifice for our freedom.
Fly your American Flag.
Send a letter to POTUS that American is not going to bow to the enemies, and “make nice.” (I learned as a kid that “nice guys finish last.”)
And be very vigilant with the upcoming election. What you hear on mainstream media is probably NOT true.


Have a Happy 4th of July, and do something very American…Have a hot dog in a bun and a piece of apple pie.

The Greatness of America:

De Tocqueville of France, over a hundred years ago, visited America. Upon his return home he wrote: “I sought for the greatness of America in her harbors and rivers and fertile fields, and her mines and commerce. It was not there. Not until I went into the churches and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the greatness of her power. America is great because she is good; and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”


Liars & Thieves


When I was a kid my folks used to say that liars usually accused someone of things they were doing themselves. If someone said, Tommy stole my toys,” he usually meant, “he stole my toys before I could steal his.” The implication was a thief always thinks others are thieves, a liar thinks others are liars, a person with no patriotism usually has allegiance somewhere else. A person whose formative years were spent in Indonesia has little understanding of American patriotism, Boy Scouts, Little League, and playing by the rules.


Years ago the liberals were stating that there was a dire need for gun control because right-to-care advocates were buying guns that were “some-how” ending up in the hands of the drug cartels of Mexico. The resulting remedy was to enact very strict gun control so legally purchased guns didn’t fall in the hands of the drug cartel. Fast-forward to 2011, and you have this “Fast and Furious” gun program conducted BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, in Obama’s administration “smuggling” guns across the border to Mexico to drug lords!!!!!!! And NO ONE gave the o.k. NO ONE is responsible.


This smuggling operation led to the loss of lives of the very police sent down there to control these tyrants! I’m not sure of WHY they were selling guns in Mexico, except, THEY SAY, was to infiltrate the drug cartel organization. When the news came out that it was the U.S. Government behind getting these terrible guns into Mexico, and that innocent people died, the ATF supervisors response was “you had to scramble a few eggs to make an omelet.” Last count, according to a report on Foxnews.com was 2000 weapons allowed across the border under Obama’s watch led to shooting 150 or more Mexican law enforcement officers and soldiers.


It is already claimed by law-abiding 2nd Amendment Rights folks that Obama and his administration will use these deaths as reasons to target our 2nd amendment rights, and sign on to the UN pursuit of international gun control.


Wake Up, my dear friends. The gun they come after could be yours!


AT Taken Down


To my friends at American Thinker.com, it was interesting to learn that “somebody” must be getting rattled. Wednesday, June 15th American Thinker suffered what was called a “Denial of Service attack.” During peak traffic hours their website was down. It took their technicians much hard work to figure it out and get back online. AT Editor, Thomas Lifson, wrote, We are secure in the knowledge that we are making a difference when our enemies seek to silence us.”


Boeing and the NLRB Bullies


For those who have been following, Boeing has moved into North Charleston, SC, built a tremendously large plant to manufacture airplanes. They have an even bigger plant in Washington State, and continue to build planes there. One reason they came to South Carolina, is SC is a “right to work” state, where employees are protected from harassment about unions. Washington State is a union state. After years of work strikes that slowed down the production of airplanes, and increased their costs, Boeing decided they needed an alternative to work stoppages. They decided to come to South Carolina to buffer their production. They DID NOT CLOSE any sites in Washington. They DID NOT eliminate or reduce any jobs in Washington. In fact they continue to ADD jobs at that site. They have NOT REDUCED any benefits in Washington, or reduced any payroll.


Now, the NLRB has sued Boeing for “seeking revenge” against union workers for past work stoppages. The goal of NLRB is to have Boeing shut its plant in Charleston (even before it opens) and move these 1,000 jobs to Washington.


Several court hearings are taking place. One so-called administrative law judge advised Boeing they should settle with NLRB, or this could get costly.


A bully is someone who wants your lunch money just because he can punch you in the face to get it. So far, our illustrious president, elected is a large part by union money and strong arm tactics, who has said much about jobs, jobs, jobs lately has NOT spoken out against the NLRB. But then, he ignores the lawyers telling him he is breaking the law with the Libya campaign, so maybe HE is a bully, too.


From Bullets to Bucks


The POTUS is now circumventing the globe in his pursuit of reelection. He states he isn’t finished with his program to “change America.” My firm belief is he wants to change it into a Marxist, socialist country with no personal freedoms.


Anyway, as everyone knows, the economy is in the tank. Unemployment has risen again, and, no matter what the administration says, we have dipped for the second time into another recession. The housing market is volatile. If you don’t think so, try selling one, or buying one. If you don’t have cash, you will probably not qualify to buy. The banks have seriously changed what a person needs for credit ratings and down payments.


With the administration flexing its muscles via presidential decrees, no one knows what’s coming next. This has made this “recovery” very elusive. It is reported (Ed Lasky, AT editor, 6/7/11) that POTUS no longer receives economic updates or daily briefings. POTUS now blames the failing economy and higher unemployment on ATM machines taking jobs away from tellers. (He fails to reveal that some greedy banks now charge customers when they need to do service via a live person teller.) Anyway, electronics are the blame, along with George Bush, of course.


Whatever the cause, small business owners are hurt badly. One such person commented on Obama’s “shovel ready” jobs success. This person wrote that a little over two years ago he had a thriving business with a 25-person workforce. About 18 months ago he started laying off people. Eight months ago he laid off his last person. He closed up shop about four months ago, and is now waiting foreclosure on his home.


Gas prices went sky high since this POTUS took over. Just today (6/23) he decided to release some oil from our reserves. And the price of oil on the stock market dropped. Hopefully the prices at the pump will come down, but no guarantees.

How is that Hope and Change feeling now? The election will soon be here. Will you continue with Mr. Hope and Change? Or will you work diligently for returning America to fundamental believers in a living God?


The real answer is for America, and the politicians, to turn from their wicked ways and return to biblical principles. If we as individuals and as a people don’t forsake all forms of wickedness, and pray for God to forgive us for turning from Him, fall on our knees in prayer, and God maybe will forgive our sins and heal our land. Prayer and repentance. Washington is outlawing the first, and ignoring the second.

No Matter What

Can President Obama be defeated in 2012? No. He can't. I am going on record as saying that President Barak Obama will win a second term.

 The media won't tell you this because a good election campaign means hundreds of millions (or in Obama's case billions) of dollars to them in advertising.



But the truth is, there simply are no conditions under which Barak Obama can be defeated in 2012.



The quality of the Republican candidate doesn't matter. Obama gets reelected. Nine percent unemployment? No problem. Obama will win. Gas prices moving toward five dollars a gallon? He still wins. The economy soars or goes into the gutter. Obama wins. War in the Middle East ? He wins a second term. America's role as the leading Superpower disappears? Hurrah for Barak Obama! The U.S. government rushes toward bankruptcy, the dollar continues to sink on world markets and the price of daily goods and services soars due to inflation fueled by Obama's extraordinary deficit spending? Obama wins handily.
  You are crazy Williams. Don't you understand how volatile politics can be when overall economic, government, and world conditions are declining? Sure I do.


 And that's why I know Obama will win. The American people are notoriously ignorant of economics. And economics is the key to why Obama should be defeated.

 Even when Obama's policies lead the nation to final ruin, the majority of the American people are going to believe the bait-and-switch tactics Obama and his supporters in the media will use to explain why it isn't his fault. After all, things were much worse than understood when he took office.
 Obama's reelection is really a very, very simple math problem. Consider the following:

 1) Blacks will vote for Obama blindly. Period. Doesn't matter what he does. It's a race thing. He's one of us,


2) College educated women will vote for Obama. Though they will be offended by this, they swoon at his oratory. It's really not more complex than that,


3) Liberals will vote for Obama. He is their great hope,




4) Democrats will vote for Obama. He is the leader of their party and his coat tails will carry them to victory nationwide,


5) Hispanics will vote for Obama. He is the path to citizenship for those who are illegal and Hispanic leaders recognize the political clout they carry in the Democratic Party,




6) Union members will vote overwhelmingly for Obama. He is their key to money and power in business, state and local politics,




7) Big Business will support Obama. They already have. He has almost $1 Billion dollars in his reelection purse gained largely from his connections with Big Business and is gaining more everyday. Big Business loves Obama because he gives them access to taxpayer money so long as they support his social and political agenda,




8) The media love him. They may attack the people who work for him, but they love him. After all, to not love him would be racist,




9) Most other minorities and special interest groups will vote for him. Oddly, the overwhelming majority of Jews and Muslims will support him because they won't vote Republican. American Indians will support him. Obviously homosexuals tend to vote Democratic. And lastly,

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.


Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."


Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

 If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

What is at stake on this next election is that it could well be our LAST one. While the government has led to 99% of this problem economy, most of us have contributed to this situation ourselves by not being more independent of the government. It is virtually impossible to not be dependent on the government, and that is how they want it. Dependency grows power—by the government.

What is at stake is our country, our very lives. Stand Up America, and take back America from The One and his minions. The country we lose could be our own!!

Help Wanted: Professional Tray Tracker:


Did you know that U.S. tax payers’ dollars, two million of them, are tied up in research following what children in school eat, and what they throw away. The funds come from funds originally earmarked for border security cameras along the US/Mexico border. While this camera surveillance program was unsuccessful in deterring illegals from coming into our country, the feds thought they could transfer these cameras and another $2,000,000 to upgrade it, to school cafeterias.

According to a blogger, Jeannie DeAngelis, these professional tray trackers will film students as they pick up their trays of lunch food, and observe what they throw away. Their job is two-fold: to document what types of food is chosen by the children, along with what they eventually discard. Next, these professional tray trackers will report the findings to the parents, (and maybe school officials) (and maybe even FLOTUS, in her ever enlarging trail of food police to spy on our children.) This is in the guise of viewing if the children choose mash potatoes or green beans, French fries or fruit. The food trays have bar codes on them to aid in the tracking. And there are the ever intrusive cameras. They say the goal is to reduce childhood obesity and diabetes.

Once they determine what kids like, the school will most likely change the menu to things kids hate, therefore reducing the food they are likely to eat. Dr. Roberto Trevino, of the San Antonio-based Social & Health Research Center, states that “the grant from the USDA will fund the study for four years.” He concluded that “the coming school year will be very experimental, with the programmers fine-tuning cameras and imaging software to accurately identify what’s a pear and what’s an apple.”

Wit, and Wisdom, or the Lack Thereof!

Our POTUS seems to have a character trait that is very difficult to understand. When common sense would have a person to ponder why people disagree with him, POTUS just thinks it’s beneath him to have such a dialog. His modus of operation is to belittle and degrade. Take the border security problem. Everyone knows the feds have routinely dropped the ball on this monumental problem. But when states try to alleviate the situation by state laws, POTUS directed his legal teams to sue the states, not the illegals. Finally they consented to send more security guards to the area, but this has minimal affect. The fence everyone wanted is not yet finished, and the effect of this may be lessened by the tunnel that already is in place between Mexico and Arizona. When the president recently went to Texas to address this issue, it was plain that he was not there to help, but to belittle. He asked, What do they want? A mote? Alligators? Now, I believe a mote would be fine—if it went around Washington, DC, and included alligators.

Water. Water, Everywhere, and not a Drop to Drink

Most of us have heard of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). What POTUS couldn’t get by legislation, he is now taking by decree of the EPA. In an article by Jerry Shenk, of American Thinker, he wrote about the news from the EPA.

“Recognizing the importance of clean water and healthy watershed to our economy, environment and communities, the Obama administration released a national clean water framework today that showcases its comprehensive commitment to protecting the health of American waters.”

While the administration states it is concerned about water, what they really are concerned about is power, and controlling the land and water. The original EPA bill, HR2421, gave the Army Corps of Engineers control of all “navigable” American watersheds. The EPA, under POTUS’ direction, is after ALL LAND IN ALL WATERSHEDS. As Shenk pointed out since all land is in a watershed, all land use will come under the power of the central government. Shenk wrote, “This Executive Branch recognizes no legislative power or constitutional boundaries to their ambitions.” He continued, “The threat to private property rights embedded in the ill-fated Clean Water Restoration Act of 2007; lives on in Executive Branch bureaucratic overreach.”

Will Trump be Trumped?

Donald Trump is acting more and more like a presidential candidate. While many in America think he is just a rich flake, many in the black community are already making war on him. I have not made up my mind about Mr. Trump as president, but I think he would greatly liven up the race—presidential race, not black/white race. However, it appears that anyone who should conflict with our POTUS simply MUST be a racist. It couldn’t be that POTUS isn’t up to the job, or is narcissistic, or thought of as simply wrong. No, if people don’t like his policies, they are racists. On that vein, Mr. Trump is now being attacked by a group called ColorofChange, which is trying to sabotage the TV program “Celebrity Apprentice.” This group is now campaigning against the program and Trump, stating the he operates in “race-baiting.”

According to Lloyd Marcus, a writer for American Thinker, who by the way happens to be black, states, “For the first time in U.S. History, we have a president who cannot be criticized in any way. It is an indisputable fact that the liberal mainstream media exempted presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama from the usual vetting process of one seeking to be elected Leader of the Free World. Obama’s skin color trumped everything.”
Marcus continued, “I am so sick of these racist so-called rights groups bullying people with race.” Marcus called out, “Hear ye, hear ye, all who dare criticize King Obama is automatically guilty of racism and will suffer the consequences! This is totally absurd and insane.”

Other Reelection Protection Programs of POTUS:

To ensure his reelection, POTUS has directed companies who request contracts with the federal government to have to reveal their political donation. In addition, POTUS has directed the IRS to challenge political gifts to politically involved not-for-profits. As reported by Liz Peek, of FoxNews.com, even the Democrats are crying foul. The man appears to have no shame.

And, lastly, TSA Updates:

As our POTUS, and his administration know no bounds, apparently neither does the TSA. It is documented that the TSA agents can screen by x-ray and “pat downs” anyone they choose, regardless if they are elderly, frail grandparents on oxygen tanks and in wheelchairs, or if they are children holding teddy bears. But no one knows the long term affect of these x-rays for frequent flyers. And no one knows the long term affect of TSA agents groping the children--touching private parts, reaching inside their pants, inside the underwear, touching the private parts that moms and dads have been trying to teach the children that they shouldn’t let anyone touch them there but doctors, and even removing diapers on babies looking for bombs!!! All this is really beyond the pale.

How do you explain to a child that, no, they shouldn’t let strangers touch them there, but it’s o.k. for people at airports to do that?!! How do you explain to them that they could be arrested for touching their friend Susie like that, but these grown-ups can do it? Where is the common sense when ALL terrorist attacks and attempted attacks have been by Muslims? Now, I agree, not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists, to date, have been Muslims, or people who converted to being a Muslim.


In April Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) introduced a bill, HR1510, making it necessary to obtain parental consent to conduct an invasive frisk of a child. He requested the TSA abandon “security theater” in favor of common sense.


In an article by Robert Small, (AT), Small reported that Chaffetz recommended using bomb-sniffing dogs and behavioral screenings. While bomb-sniffing dogs aren’t fool proof, but neither is anything else.


It is important that we teach our children the difference between Western Culture and Islamic culture. Small asks, “What else should I teach [my child]? That anyone can be a terrorist? Even a child? No, anyone could be a kidnapper, a killer, a pedophile, but the idea of turning an airplane into a weapon of mass destruction repeatedly springs only from the head of a Muslim. It’s a brainchild of a community that defends violent protest, even murder, as a sane response to offensive cartoons!!! It certainly isn’t on the mind of every Muslim, but it persists in the mind of Islam. And that kind of evil will never be defeated by randomly frisking fewer than three out of every hundred travelers.”


Also, what we need to teach our children is that Islam terrorists have no respect or love for their own children. Pakistani boys as young a nine have been recruited by Al Qaeda in Afghanistan to be suicide bombers. They are brought to Afghanistan and shown how to strap on a suicide vest and told that they should go forth and kill as many foreigners as possible, but that they will live through the experience.


We are in a mess. The country is in a mess. The economy is in a mess. The answer has to be Jesus. He WILL come again, and soon. Lord Come Quickly.

Obituary for Common Sense

Due to the fact that the Federal House & Senate, along with POTUS, are working on budgets, arguing how high a deficit we should have, and who (which rich folks) will pay for all this foolishness, and our state legislators are also working furiously to write a budget, I am posting the below e-mail I received. May Common Sense be resurrected, and reign on high!

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;

- Why the early bird gets the worm;

- Life isn't always fair;

- and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

Where to Begin?

Let’s see how far I can go without getting “aeriated.” (In case you aren’t familiar with the term, it was used by James Herriot in his books about being a veterinarian in England. It means: to get stirred up profusely.)

Recently the POTUS ET EX came out with a policy against bullying. It is now the FEDERAL policy against bullying. Let’s see where there is bullying:


Chicago schools (hmmm, isn’t this the POTUS ET EX’s home city?) no longer allow lunches from home. Students are mandated to buy (or obtain free) school lunches…in the guise of healthy eating. When some students revolted, because the food was so bad, and started demanding their rights to bring food from home, this was squashed by the school. Who is the bully?


When Boeing had difficulties in Washington State completing their plane manufacturing in a timely manner due to union strikes, they decided to come to South Carolina and build planes. Now the Federal Government has joined the unions in suing Boeing because of so-called unfair labor practices against unions. Who’s the bully? Who are the thugs? POTUS, ET AL?


When Amazon.com decided to bring some of its distribution services to South Carolina, the then governor, Sanford, made an agreement to exempt them from collecting a sales tax on sales for five years. Now someone with money is fighting this saying this gives undo favor to the on-line company because local stores and businesses have to collect a sales tax.


Here are a few suggestions:


1st. I have shopped at Amazon.com for years, and not because I was saving a few cents on sales taxes, but because I can get what I need, and want, when I need it. These businesses who are voicing objections can register their businesses and items for sale with Amazon.com and take advantage of on-line buyers.


2nd. Amazon.com is bringing hundreds of jobs to South Carolina, and $60,000,000 in payroll. This will bring in payroll taxes to South Carolina. These people who will be working will be spending their money in South Carolina, and not all on Amazon.com. Businesses should learn that due to gas prices, more and more people are buying on-line, and finding the shipping is usually less than the gas it would take to get to a brick-n-mortar store front.


3rd. It is my suspicion that the money paid for these TV ads are funds from lobbyists who have no stake in this question, only the dollars they earn making noise. Who is the bully? Who is the bully behind the bully?


Next, gas prices: At this time in my town, the price at the pump is about $3.60 per gallon, ($112 per barrel of oil). It would cost me $54 to put in 15 gallons of gas. I get about 25 miles per gallon. Most weeks, I use one tank per week. When I worked “out of town,” as I did up ‘til last year, I used three tanks per week. I had to quit the job to balance my budget. Totally ridiculous!


The president says he can’t do anything about the price of gas, but he still controls who can drill for oil, and where. And now, this POTUS is pushing for the DOT to put tracking devices in our cars so the government can tax us on the miles we drive.

The old adage is, when a country begins to burn its food, it is a sign of the end of the power of the country. It has been proven that using ethanol in gasoline reduces mileage in vehicles, takes food off the table, and costs more to produce than raw gas. But this administration is mandating an increase in the percentage of ethanol in gasoline. Who’s the bully?


The POTUS has decided to run for reelection. He said he’s not done working on his programs of social changes in America. God help us if he carries out all his potential changes. Some men and women are coming out now to test the waters of candidacy.


Two potential candidates for president are Mr. Donald Trump and the former governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, They are campaigning and speaking at Tea Parties, and the worms are coming out of the woodwork—again! Mr. Trump is called a “light-weight” and Ms. Palin is called—well, we can’t write what she is called. In the guise of comedy Ms Palin is again being attacked for giving birth to “a retarded” child. In polite circles, by people with manners, he is called a special needs child. Whatever you call him, he shouldn’t be attacked because of his mother. But worms like a so-called journalist in Alaska wondered aloud what the boy Trig, who celebrated his birthday, would be dreaming about. The non-writer stated, “Nothing. He’s retarded.” Another non-funny comedian, Louis CK(?), ranted off a tirade about the boy, and Ms Palin in such vulgar language it can’t be repeated without using only the top keys on the keyboard. This is all because Ms Palin had the audacity to give birth to, verses murder, her disabled son, and because she expounds Christian family values, such things as these liberal worms would know nothing about. Who are the bullies???



The Whiner-In-Chief recently went to Chicago (again?) and complained loudly about the lack of having a “cool phone” in the Oval Office. He is quoted to say, “I’m like, c’mon guys. I’m the president of the United States. Where’s the fancy buttons and stuff and the big screen comes up? It doesn’t happen.” Who’s the bully?

Later, the POTUS was holding a press conference about the deal he made with the House and Senate to finish the 2011 budget. At the invitation of POTUS, the Republican’s Paul Ryan, who drafted a compromise part to the deal, of which most was used, sat in on the press conference. Did POTUS compliment him for his cooperation? Did POTUS thank the Republicans for finally getting a budget that the Democrats had not been able to write for eight months? NO! POTUS berated Mr. Ryan and others for potential changes in Medicare. Who’s the bully?


In the 2008 election, many people had blinders on. Or they were lazy and didn’t do their homework. Most people applying for a job have to write a resume with references, both professional and personal. Who are Mr. POTUS’s references? Everything about this man has been sealed. No information is available about him.


A recent e-mail I received asked the following questions:

Who was the best man at the O’s wedding?

When did he and Mrs. O meet?

Where are past photos of his life?

Where are his grades, transcripts from college?

Why haven’t any old school mates come forward and said, “I knew him when…?”

Does anyone remember him at Columbia U.?

Why isn’t O’s photograph in the college year book?

Why was O’s law license inactivated in 2002?

Why was Mrs. O’s law license inactivated by Court Order?

While the US Census records show only ONE Barack Obama, but with 27 Social Security numbers, and over 80 aliases. And the Social Security number he uses now originated in Connecticut, where he is reported to never have lived.

This is the man in charge. This is the man telling us how to live, what to eat, what cars to buy, and where to send our children to school. By presidential signature, he overrode the deal he made with the House of Representatives and Senate on the budget, and reinstated his four Czars. WHO’S THE BULLY?!!!

Evil Is As Evil Does!

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.” Romans 13:1-4 (KJV)

God says that government is ordained of God, and we should honor and respect the government, and not rebel against it. God will severely punish those Christians who rebel against the government. However, God did not say he would punish rebellious Christians if the government is evil and goes against the word of God.

In Exodus 18:21a, we read, “Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness…” as rulers and servants of the people. God fearing, truthful, hating covetousness (wanting what everyone else has)…leaders, not people with evil ways.

Let us examine if OUR government is evil, and must be protested. The Bible says, thou shall not kill, yet the government authorizes abortions, and fights mightily and secretively those who protest this government sanctioned murder.

We have a president so inept that he is dangerous. This country has lost its honor and integrity overseas due to presidential priorities. Untold vacations, golf matches, and White House parties while civil wars ferment in the Middle East, the earthquake in Japan, subsequent tsunami, and possible nuclear melt down have about destroyed this island nation, but Mr. O spends his time playing golf, picking basketball teams, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) of Ireland, and leaves for Brazil for yet another vacation—sorry, he’s putting in a little work by discussing ways Brazil can help us (US) increase our manufacturing, and reduce unemployment.

We have navy ships in Bahrain, but when the civil war unrest started, did we reply? No, Saudi Arabia sent in forces to quell the unrest—will they quell this unrest like Libya has by dropping bombs and shooting with live ammunition, and making news correspondents disappear? Tunisia and Egypt have erupted and changed hands, and what does Mr. O say? “You (heads of countries) better stop fighting or, or, or….?” Yemen is erupting, and the government is shooting its people, and Mr. O says…nothing.

We have a president who promised change. Well, he has kept his promise.

When he took office in 2009, unemployment was 7.3%, it rose to over 10.1%, and now hovers at about 9.5%, not counting those who ran out of unemployment checks, or those who got so discouraged they quit looking.

In January, 2009 gasoline sold for $1.81, and how hovers around $3.60.

Mr. O promised to help people with their mortgages. Now 5.7 million people don’t have to worry about their mortgages. They have lost their homes and don’t have to pay them.

We now have a president against oil, gas, and nuclear energy for America. He has shown this by shutting down oil drilling, and blocking new areas where oil could be drilled. He refuses to allow new nuclear power plants licensed, and he is against coal energy, even though it is cleaner than it has been in the past. He sells American oil and coal to Japan and China. He has not pursued the precious metals needed to go forward. He has carried out draconian decrees to take away our choices in light bulbs, cars, and even what we feed our children.

Mr. O is for electric cars, but fails to connect the dots of where this electricity will come from. We can’t just plug our Volt into a tree. It must be connected to the grid somehow, Mr. O.

There was a story on TV this week about “food police” stopping people in grocery stores to go through their carts and expose the wrong foods they were about to buy and feed their families (all in the guise of educating them). Food prices are increasing dramatically, but by presidential decree, there will be no COLAs for folks on Social Security for the second straight year.

The president blames Congress for not passing a budget, but it was HIS party in office when the fiscal year ended October, 2010. His lack of leadership has the appearance of being almost deliberate. DOES HE REALLY WANT AMERICA TO FAIL—FALL?

Is this the motive for his dithering? Or is he just so incompetent?

In the book, The 5,000 Year Leap, A Miracle That Changed the World, by W. Cleon Skousen, Samuel Adams, one of the fathers of the American Revolution, is quoted saying, “Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. He therefore is the truest friend of liberty of his country who tries most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise virtuous man.” (Subsequent quote taken from Wells’, Life of Samuel Adams.)

I have stopped feeling guilty about protesting the current state of affairs in our country. I now know it is my God given right and duty to protest, and to write, and to make noise. Please dear readers, don’t just believe everything you see and hear on mainstream media. What you don’t see or hear could fill volumes. Educate yourself. Search other web sites. Read conservative writers, both in print and on-line.

It is our duty and right to hold America accountable.

"Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep"

My entry today is a little different, and a short trip down memory lane. Please read. I will put my political hat back on at a later day.

When I was a kid my parents and grandparents taught us kids to say our prayers at night. The one I remember, and subsequently taught my kids went like this:

“Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.” Then we would ask God to bless a number of people, our parents, grandparents, and others.

Some folk told me I shouldn't teach my kids that they might die in their sleep, that I should teach them a “more peaceful” bedtime prayer. I'm not sure where the original prayer came from. And I know as an adult that “rote prayer” isn't the best way to pray. We should pray from our hearts whatever is on our mind and in our needs at the time we pray. However, this bedtime ritual was an “introduction” to God, and to a prayer life.

I got saved at about age five, as a result of Sunday School classes and my grandmother's teaching. We prayed in Sunday School, and learned at an early age about Jesus, and His saving power. Today, as an adult, I try to ave daily Bible reading, sometimes morning and night. I use the faithful King James Version Bible, and have read it cover to cover. I will admit I don't get there every day, but most every day. In the last few years I have kept a reading journal to show where I read. What it shows is when I didn't read.

Some of my favorite parts of the Bible are the Psalms and Proverbs. I was reading there in Psalms today, and came across the following verses:

“I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.” Ps. 3:5; and “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.” Ps. 4:8.

These verses are very close to my childhood prayer. When I am ready to go to bed, my childhood prayer can still be my night time adult prayer. As a Christian, I know that when I lay me down to sleep, God will protect my soul and spirit. Should I die before I wake, I know Jesus will be there to take me to Heaven. Should I make it through the night, I will awake refreshed, and in peace, for Jesus has kept me safe through the night.

Can you relate to this simple prayer? Do you feel the peace and safety when you lay your head on your pillow? You can if you have Jesus in your heart, and go to bed with a prayer on your lips.

Outrage Fatigue

I haven’t written for my blog for quite sometime. A lot is going on, both locally, and around the world. I have been having difficulty forming my thoughts that could be uplifting, and not completely negative. However, with the world, national, and local headlines so bleak.

Like I said at the beginning, it’s been frustrating lately. It’s almost enough to make a person lose hope. But, then, you have to ask yourself, where is your hope? What foundation is your hope? In the government? Fat chance. (No, thin chance, sorry Mrs. O.) In your job? Hold onto it. In a political party? I haven’t seen any brilliance in the local winners of the past election, nor any brilliance in Columbia, nor any brilliance in the US House of Representatives or US Senate.

I have felt compelled to write using only the top keys of the keyboard. If you don’t know what I mean by this, I will give you an example. But I don’t like that feeling I get when I get so outraged.

The @#$$ stock market goes down, but the ##%$ oil prices go up. It makes it ##%&*ing hard to fill up the tank in my car. This will surely help in the economic recovery!

Mrs. O continues her assault on personal freedoms and families by passing the @#47*&^@ food restriction rules, counting salt grams and fat grams, outlawing fundraising bake sales at schools, all the while eating baked lobsters on yet another #@#%*ing vacation.

The president and his #@#$$%ing CZARS rule the roost on what type light bulbs we can use, and how many watts we can have in our kitchen, what type refrigerators we can buy, and what type toilet we can put in our house.

The @#$#@ TSA’s pervert tactics of x-ray scans and “pat downs” would get any man arrested if conducted in the public square, surely encourages people to want to fly. Flying may or may not save oil, but, I for one will not fly until such tactics are changed.

The number one ranked Christian leader in India and also in Pakistan were murdered by Islam extremist for insulting Allah, and no outrage or response by our Christian president, but Washington was outrage when Rep. Peter King holds hearings to find out if Muslims in America are assisting in notifying agencies when they suspect their children are being recruited by Islam extremists to become terrorists. The claim was that there are other groups who are extremists. Maybe so, but let’s hold hearings on the ones we know about. If other groups are becoming terrorists, let’s study them also. Just don’t paint every dissenter as an extremist!

Wisconsin’s battle with @#@$@ unions and striking teachers and missing senators brings the state government to a standstill, but the outrage by protesters is for the ones trying to pay the bills.

In South Carolina, the Senate works days and weeks in trying to pass an immigration bill that will satisfy Washington, DC and the U S Supreme Court. What happened to states’ rights? What happened to: if you are here illegally (per Federal Law) you are also here illegally per S.C. law!?

Social Security and Medicare are “elephants in the room.” Obamacare is a @#$#ing poison pill with more tax law in it than medicine. While some folks out of work have found jobs, most are receiving 75% less pay than they were before. The upper-income jobs, the ones needed to be able to tax these folks enough to pay for all the government programs, will not return. Everyone needs to be retooled to something new to be able to work.

Like I said at the beginning, it’s been frustrating lately. It’s almost enough to make a person lose hope. But, then, you have to ask yourself, where is your hope? What foundation is your hope?

My hope is not on earthly things or people.

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19 (KJV).

Does my faith in God and His Son Jesus Christ promise that I will never run out of gas? No. But He promises, if I have faith, I will not run out of spiritual gas. When the world is in a whirl around me, I remember that we Christians win this race. Read the last Book in the Bible. Satan, and his demons, are overcome and literally thrown into the lake of fire.

I try to read my Bible daily. This gives me a daily walk and talk with God. I pray for my friends and family, my church, my town, state and country. I pray for patience so I can write and type without using only the top keys on the keyboard. The more I do this, the less sick and frustrated I feel about world events.

I can’t change or control anything that is going on. But, my God is in control, yesterday, today and forever. He holds the world in his hands, and He will mete out justice to all those who scorn Him and His Word.
