All Brakes are Off Now

There is a quote: “The brakes will be off then…” a quote from a movie I remember, but not where it was… Well, the brakes are off now. Hold on tight, America!!

Anyway, that is where we are in America. Let’s recoup what was just voted on…

Unending spending, unending entitlements, unending tax increases, UN controlling our guns, no matter what OUR Constitution says, UN taxing Americans, Hillary saying yes to all the above…

In addition, there will be no brakes on abortions or homosexual lifestyle. All brakes are off now.

Back in early Israel days, they were led and counseled by a prophet, or judge anointed by God, Himself. Then some of them came up with an idea that listening to God was “out of style” and they wanted a king, like other countries.

Samuel, God’s chosen leader for Israel, tried to talk them out of it. The peopled wouldn’t listen., they said, “Thou art old, … now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.” (1 Samuel 8:5) This did not make Samuel happy and he went to the Lord in prayer.

“And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.” (1 Samuel 8:7) God told Samuel that the people had forsaken God since He brought them out of Egypt. They started worshipping other gods and doing evil things.

Then Samuel told the people what would happen if they pursued this desire for a king. He would take their sons and make them soldiers of the State, he would take their chariots, take their food they had grown (with their own hands); he would take their daughters to be sweets for others, he would take their fields and vineyards, and give them to those who hadn’t worked to earn them. He would take 10% of their produce and livestock and give it to those who didn’t work; he would conscript their children and servants to be workers for him.

Then Samuel said, “And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye have chosen you; and that the Lord will not hear you in that day” (I Samuel 8:18).

God will not be mocked. All those who just voted for O and his ilk will stand before God one day and be judged. The problem is, no one believes in God, at least not to the extent that they did when this country was founded on the word of God and godly principles.

Hang on you God-fearing Americans. God is in control. He is quite possibly using O to bring down America like he allowed Israel to be taken over after they had their chosen king. God will have the last word…and last laugh.

“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.” Psalms 1:4

Luke 21:33, 36 says, “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away…Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

Heart Surgery

"Tomorrow morning," the surgeon began, "I'll open up your heart..."

"You'll find Jesus there." the boy interrupted.

The surgeon looked annoyed. "I'll cut your heart open," he continued, "to see how much damage has been done."

"But when you open my heart, you'll find Jesus in there," the boy said.

The surgeon looked to the parents, who sat quietly. "When I see how much damage has been done, I'll sew your heart and chest back up, and I'll plan what to do next."

But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The Bible says He lives there. The hymns all say He lives there. You'll find Him in my heart."

The surgeon had had enough. "I'll tell you what I'll find in your heart. I'll find damaged muscles, low blood supply, and weakened vessels. And I'll find out if I can make you well."

"You'll find Jesus there too. He lives there."

The surgeon left.

The surgeon sat in his office, recording his notes from the surgery. "...damaged aorta, damaged pulmonary vein, widespread muscle degeneration. No hope for transplant, no hope for cure. Therapy: painkillers and bed rest. Prognosis: Here he paused, "...death within one year."

He stopped the recorder, but there was more to be said. "Why?" he asked aloud. "Why did you put him in this pain? and You've cursed him to an early death. Why?"

The Lord answsered and said, "The boy, my lamb, was not meant for your flock for long, for he is a part of My flock, and will forever be. Here, in My flock, he will feel no pain, and will be comforted as you cannot imagine.

"His parents will one day join him here, and they will know peace, and My flock will continue to grow..."

The surgeion's tears were hot, but his anger was hotter. "You created that boy, and You created that heart. He'll be dead in months. Why?"

The Lord answered, "The boy, My lamb, shall return to My flock, for he was done his duty. I did not put My lamb with your flock to lose him, but to retrieve another lost lamb."

The surgeon wept.

The sureon sat beside the boy's bed. The boy's parents sat across from him. The boy awoke and whispered, "Did you cut open my heart?"

"Yes," the surgeon said.

"What did you find?" asked the boy.

"I found Jesus."

Author Unknown.

Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father."
I am not ashamed. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Phil. 4:13)

This is a simple test: If you love God, and are not ashamed of the marvelous things he has done for you, tell others about Jesus.
